Resume
I was born in Salem, Oregon to Marvin and Lucille Simpson. From an early age, I was inspired artistically by my father who was a professional art illustrator for the Oregon State Highway Department. My art education consists of middle and high school art classes, Bush Barn ceramic classes, and classes at Western Oregon State College where I studied under James Van Patten, Dr. Bob Richardson, Dr. James Kirk, Professor Mattingly, and Professor John Casey. Since then, I have pursued drawing and painting professionally. I am a member of the Northwestern Water Color Society, and Allied Arts of Whatcom County, as well as the American Water Color Society.
